Get ready for the ‘Po šituo stogu’ festival!

Anykščiai is gearing up for its biggest celebration of the year! The ‘Po šituo stogu’ city festival is set to transform the town from July 24-26 with music, markets, and incredible energy.

To ensure a safe and fantastic experience for everyone, some temporary traffic changes will be in place. Here’s your quick guide to navigating the city and enjoying the festivities without a hitch.

Key road closures for the main event

The heart of the festival will be a pedestrian-only zone for the main celebration day.

  • When: From 5:00 AM on Saturday, July 25, until 1:00 AM on Sunday.
  • Where: M. Valančiaus Street and the section of Parko Street (from the M. Valančiaus St. intersection to the Anykštos St. intersection) will be fully closed to traffic.
  • Why: This area will host the vibrant festival fair and main entertainment!

Parking and access information

Please note the following changes to parking and access to the central event areas.

  • Puntukas Parking Lot: This lot will be closed from 10:00 PM on Friday, July 24, until 11:00 PM on Saturday, July 25.
  • City Center Access: On Saturday, July 25, vehicle access to the main event squares and central parking lots will be restricted to make way for concerts and activities.

Tips for a smooth visit

  1. Plan ahead: With high traffic expected, give yourself extra time to travel and find a spot.
  2. Park and walk: The best way to enjoy the festival is on foot. We recommend using parking lots further from the center and taking a short, pleasant walk to the main events.
  3. Follow the signs: Keep an eye out for temporary road signs and follow instructions from police or event staff. They’re there to help!

Thank you for your cooperation in making this year’s ‘Po šituo stogu’ festival a safe and memorable event. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
